Why did Elon Musk get angry on honoring George Soros?

President Joe Biden has honored 19 personalities including former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, billionaire George Soros with the highest civilian award 'Medal of Freedom Award'. However, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has reacted sharply on honoring Soros.
Why was the highest honor given?
According to the White House statement, 'Soros, the founder of the Open Society Foundation, well-known philanthropist, was honored for focusing on global initiatives that strengthen democracy, human rights, education and social justice'.
What does Musk think of Soros?
Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that it is 'ridiculous' that Soros has received such a special honor. Musk, who is going to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in the upcoming Donald Trump government, believes that Soros 'hates humanity' and 'wants to destroy the basic structure of Western civilization through his foundation.'
Controversy spreads beyond American borders
The Hungarian-American investor considers 94-year-old Soros as the person in Britain who brought the Bank of England to ruin in 1992 through short selling. His foundation, which works in 120 countries, has donated billions of dollars to initiatives related to human rights and democracy. Campaigns were also run against this 'interference' in countries like Russia.
Allegations of interference in Indian politics
In the winter session of Parliament in December, the BJP accused the Congress of being associated with Soros and his organizations, citing alleged links between Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and initiatives funded by Soros. The Congress called the allegations baseless. Due to the heated exchange, the proceedings in both the houses of Parliament had to be adjourned several times. -Presentation: Amit Purohit
